Time In, Out, Breaks

The Time In, Break, and Time Out links are available to log times that employees arrive and depart from work. When one of the actions is clicked, such as Time In, the link changes into the time the action was logged. Clicking on it again will allow edits. To delete an action click on it and delete the date and time entirely.

The arrows for breaks will change color (Break Highlighting) depending on the amount of time the employee has been working without taking a break. Green arrows are ready for break, yellow late to go, and red are very late to go.

If breaks are tracked in "Time In and Time Out" mode clicking a break will turn it into an icon that allows the employee to return from break, if "Time In" only mode is selected the link will display the time the event was logged instead. The difference between the two modes is that the first will allow you to know how long an employee was on break, while the second only shows that the employee took break or not. Tracking time in and time out from breaks requires extra clicking and is often used only with automatic data collection.
